
MacDaddy’s began designing the original MacDaddy’s Collection of jeweled fishing lures and flies in January, 2005 and by July, 2005 had sold it’s first piece. In August, we attended our first jewelry trade show. We began marketing our products using media kits and sell sheets and in October, 2005, we landed our first big contract with a sporting goods store in their jewelry departments. In July, 2006, we attended our first fishing trade show and received exceptional international media coverage due to the introduction of MacDaddy’s Million-Dollar Lure™.
During our first two years of business, we received many comments and recommendations from suppliers, peers, and customers. We have responded to their recommendations by forging new partnerships with suppliers, retailers, and experts in fields foreign to us, and have made constructive changes whenever possible. In 2007, we created a new marketing campaign to give back to the community and reduced our prices whenever possible to become more competitive.
